The Mead genealogy gives Israel Thompson Mead’s birth as October 29, 1784, with birthplace unknown, and his death as October 18, 1832. It places him in Ulysses Township, Tompkins County, New York, and later in Clarksfield, Ohio.

The account names Elizabeth Newman as his second wife. Its family Bible transcription lists a son Tomson, born October 30, 1820; the Clark genealogy identifies Thompson Mead as Israel and Elizabeth’s son.
