A family archive, built together.

A home for the von Seggern and Schulz family stories, the people behind them, and the records that help us understand their lives.

How the archive is organized

The family tree shows the recorded relationships. People have individual profiles. Family histories bring related surnames together. Books preserve the source text, and Photographs contains real family images.

Sources and uncertainty

Every researched profile identifies its sources. Original records, family recollections, compiled trees, and later interpretations are different kinds of evidence. Missing information is left open, and disputed details are described rather than silently resolved.

Living family members

Living relatives are shown by name and family connection only. Their birth dates, addresses, contact information, and other personal details are not included in profiles. Complete original documents are preserved separately as family sources and may describe later generations as they were recorded at the time.

Contributing

Use Share family history for a story, photograph, or source. Historical person profiles also have a Suggest a change link. Contributions remain private until reviewed; they are not published automatically.

Search privacy

Searches in the archive and family tree run in your browser. Search terms are not submitted to an advertising or analytics service. The contribution form uses an essential security-session cookie and stores submissions privately for review.
